Privacy Policy

BarCraft AI helps you scan bottle photos, save a home bar, and generate cocktail recipes. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and which providers receive it.

Data We Collect

• Camera, photo, and environment scanning content: When you choose to scan, we process the photo you capture or select. The photo may include bottle labels, visible text, scene context, and background content.
• Bottle and recipe content: We process detected bottle names, brands when visible, categories, quantity estimates, confidence notes, saved bottles, recipe preferences, generated recipes, favorites, and saved recipe titles used to avoid duplicates.
• Usage, entitlement, and diagnostic data: We store scan counts, quota status, anonymous app user identifiers, purchase entitlement status, AI token/cost logs, and backend error/debug records needed to operate paid plans, understand product behavior, prevent abuse, and keep the service reliable.
• Purchase data: Purchases are handled by Apple and RevenueCat. We receive subscription entitlement status, but we do not receive or store credit card numbers.

Data We Do Not Collect for AI Features

BarCraft AI does not record audio, collect transcripts, access contacts, or collect precise location for scan analysis or recipe generation.

How We Use Data

• To identify bottles from selected scan photos.
• To generate cocktail recipes from your bottles and preferences.
• To save your bar, saved recipes, favorites, usage history, and subscription entitlement.
• To enforce scan limits, estimate AI costs, analyze product usage, debug service errors, and keep the app reliable.

Third-Party Providers

• Cloudflare Workers: Hosts the BarCraft AI backend that routes authenticated scan and recipe requests.
• Cloudflare R2 and D1: Store scan photos, metadata, detected bottles, recipes, usage events, entitlement events, and AI cost logs.
• OpenRouter: Receives selected scan photos and recipe prompts as the AI routing layer, then routes them to the configured model provider.
• OpenAI model provider: Receives selected scan photos and recipe prompts from OpenRouter for the current configured model, openai/gpt-5.4-mini, to perform bottle recognition and cocktail generation.
• RevenueCat: Manages subscription entitlement status for StoreKit purchases.
• Apple: Provides App Store distribution, TestFlight, StoreKit purchases, and device permission prompts.

We require service providers to handle app data only for the services they provide to BarCraft AI and to protect it with safeguards appropriate for the data type.

Your Choices

Before BarCraft AI sends scan photos or recipe prompts to OpenRouter or the configured model provider, the app shows an AI Data Sharing consent sheet. If you decline, camera/photo analysis and AI recipe generation stay off. You can review or change this setting in Settings.

You can delete saved bottles, recipes, scan history, uploaded scan photos, usage events, and entitlement event history in Settings under My Data. Active purchase entitlement fields may be retained as needed to restore or honor an Apple subscription. You can also contact hello@barcraft.ai for help with privacy requests.

Children

BarCraft AI is not intended for children. It is an alcohol-related app and should only be used by adults of legal drinking age in their location.
